Welcome to National Hammock Day!  It's a great day to have one!  They've been around for thousands of years...it's thought that they were invented by tribes in Central American as a way of keeping people from being eaten by snakes!  But the Hammock really took off in the 1700's, in Europe.  Today is also Rat Catchers Day, celebrating the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who rid a German town of all its rats by playing his flute.  The Pied Piper was also a pop music hit in the 1960's, by a group called Crispin St. Peters...it's a 'catchy' tune!  In today's edition...Josh Ross has his 1st #1 single...Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum to headline a huge Texas relief concert...and McCollum announces a New Year's Eve concert.  Happy 78th birthday to Eagles frontman and drummer Don Henley!
